Puppy love between the bride and the groom on their wedding day isn’t the only canine spirit were channeling at Emerald Stone Photography. One of our favorite moments during our couples’ weddings is when the whole family gets together, including our four-legged friends!
This week has been all things sparkle as Emerald Stone organizes a few photo albums in preparation for our winter weddings, and we’re still oohing and awwing over just a few of our favorite wedding ring shots!
The term ‘unplugged wedding’ is thrown around a lot in the wedding industry today, and more and more brides are opting for this type of event. But what exactly does the term ‘unplugged’ mean?
It’s hard for us to not get teary-eyed when looking at Kayla and Jack’s wedding photos. This ceremony and reception was absolutely beautiful, and Emerald Stone could not get enough of these two. How much they love each other is so evident in every look, and it was a wonderful celebration at Cortland Mansion in Hagerstown, Maryland, from start to finish!
There’s nothing more beautiful than when the entire family is included in a wedding photo shoot, and Emily and Stevie’s engagement session at North Point State Park is no exception. Their adorable daughter, Penny, also posed for her parents’ engagement photos, and we pretty much can’t get enough of this adorable trio!
Weddings are happy occasions, but who among us hasn’t shed a tear or two at a beautiful wedding? Photographers are no different! Even though we have the pleasure of photographing tons and tons of weddings each year, we always get a little misty eyed when we see the love and happiness between two people, especially because we work hard to really get to know our couples far before the wedding day.
Happy criers, you are not alone. Emerald Stone has a few moments that make even the photographers tear up on the bride and groom’s big day.
There might not be a cuter way to start out this Friday than by sneaking a peek of Amy and Mat’s engagement session shot by Erica of Emerald Stone.
ESP had the pleasure of being able to photograph this awesome couple at the beautiful Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in nearby Baltimore, Maryland, but it seems like these two traveled to an exotic desert island for stunning photos!
Photography is one of the most important investments you will make when it comes to your wedding day. These snapshots in time will be cherished for the rest of your life, and you want quality, professional photos of your big day that reflect this joyous occasion where your love began. Naturally, you want to choose the right wedding photographer who will be taking these shots very carefully.
So how do you go about narrowing down photographers? Emerald Stone has just a few suggestions of things to keep in mind while interviewing potential photographers, things we like to discuss with our brides every day.
Happy Tuesday friends! Today I want to share a personal life event that has such an impact on why I cherish photography and capturing images of LOVE and loved ones. For weddings especially, you get to share one of the biggest days of your life with family and friends that you may only see once a year or once every few years. I undoubtedly see the true value in capturing every moment possible with your loved ones who are enjoying the day with you.
“Keeping your wedding alive through print is something embedded into everything I do, from how I photograph to the end result of albums and prints, I believe that a printed photograph is timeless, because sometimes, it’s all you have left.”
All photographers begin somewhere, we all have a story. We all have a reason we love photography and why we get such joy from sharing photos of loved ones with our family and friends. This is my story.
I was only 6 years old, nearing the end of first grade, and the night is still a blur. On this night a tragedy happened – my family and I experienced a house fire. I was so little at the time, and the only memory I have is sitting in an ambulance with my younger brother, wrapped in a blanket, watching the flames take over our house. Literally everything, every room in the house burnt – except the closet in my moms bedroom. Do you know what is so special about this closet? It held years and years and YEARS of memories. All of the printed photos and picture albums my mom cherished were tucked away in this closet. After such a tragedy had struck that night, this was all she had left.
