Christine + Charlie’s Engagement Session

Happy Friday everyone!! Today I am sharing a few photos of one of my favorite couples – Christine & Charlie! Christine has been my best friend since high school, and it was such an honor to be able to capture beautiful photos for her engagement. Her and Charlie are seriously perfect for each other, and she has shared her story for us all to read. I am beyond happy for the two of them and cannot wait for their wedding in October!! <3

{Our Story, by Christine}

“Charlie and I met in January 2014, through a mutual friend, Ron, that I had worked with. We were at work one evening and he said, “I’ve got this friend that you should meet!” I was a little hesitant at first, but said “Well, tell me about him!” So, he told me a little about Charlie and that I should send him a friend request on Facebook. I looked him up, did a little “Facebook stalking” and sent him a request. A few hours later I got a notification that he accepted my request. We sent a few messages back and forth and then gave each other our phone numbers. Charlie and I texted for a few days, asking each other questions trying to get to know one another. A few nights later at work, Ron said “Since we are both off on Monday, why don’t you come over the house and I’ll invite Charlie too so you can meet him.” I got so excited and of course said yes. That Monday I went to his house, and there was Charlie. We hung out that night with Ron, his wife, sister and her fiance playing cards and watching movies. When the night was ending and we were saying goodbye, he gave me a quick hug and went home. I thought to myself, “Really?! A quick hug that’s all I get… Guess I won’t be hearing from him again!” I was surprised the next day when I got a text from Charlie. We continued to text back and forth and hang out here and there for about two weeks. I kept talking to Ron and asked him if Charlie had said anything to him about me. He said no, but he would talk to Charlie. A few nights later, Charlie and I went out (and with a little nudging from Ron) he asked me to be his girlfriend! I was so happy!! We had an amazing relationship, always wanting to be with each other always talking and texting each other. That October, my lease in my apartment was going to be up. Charlie suggested I move in with him, so without even thinking twice I agreed. We had talked randomly now and then about marriage, kids and the future. I had no clue that he had already been planning to purpose. New Year’s Eve 2014, we were at his sisters party. We had all drawn names for a secret Santa, and were giving the gifts out at the party. When all of the gifts were given out, Charlie’s brother in law stood at the front of the room and said. “There is one more secret Santa, we are all going to count down from 5 and that person is going to stand up.” So, we counted and when we got to one, Charlie stood up, turned to look at me and got down on one knee. I immediately started crying!!! He asked me to marry him, and of course I said yes!! As soon as I stopped crying I called my mom, and both of my grandmothers to tell them the news and that we needed to start planning! Charlie has made me happier than I could have ever imagined that I could be. He truly is my Prince Charming.”
